Makar - an old Scots word representing; creativity, quality and workmanship

Out sister construction organisation MAKAR Ltd grew from our attempt to answer some fundamental questions:
- How do we get things Built the way we want them?
- How do we deliver better Buildings for less Money?
- How do we respond Regionally with beauty, meaning and content?

New buildings and in particular mass housing is the result of a formulaic response to development; the business model is profit through the increased value of land, construction innovation is not considered. With Innovation comes Risk and it was in order to balance this seemingly inevitable dualism that MAKAR was born. 

MAKAR while a separate company to NSA is managed from the same location. The two organizations work closely together to effectively design and plan, then practically deliver in a seamless manner. There is a particular advantage from a cost, quality, program and performance point of view - see Process.
