A competition entry for a plot in the Highland Housing fair, to showcase the best of house building design and technology. Our response to the south zone theme was a clean brick masonry clad structure with clad roofing finish resulting in a robust and urban feel. The pure block form was cut away at the entrance, terrace and upper floor articulation reinforcing this aesthetic. Natural coloured Perthshire brick and dark hued roofing contrast with the garden elevation; largely glazed and timber clad. Colours were restrained and muted. The district heating system was to be utilised but house fitted micro renewables limited to thermal solar panels to assist hot water.
