A second competition entry for the Highland Housing Fair. The organisation of this house allowed the building to function as a single family house with separate granny-flat/home-office. It could also be adapted easily to function as two separate apartments on distinct floors. The main loadbearing timber post and beam frame allowed internal walls to be removed or relocated and new openings to be formed in external walls. Bolted connections meant the structure could be dismantled. The colours in the landscape were referenced by means of a sedum covered roof, natural lightweight timber cladding and natural hued render.
